"All You Can Eat" Breakfast Was a Huge Success on May 3rd

The Sentimental Journey all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast on May 3rd was a huge success, with more than 500 guests and volunteers enjoying an enormous breakfast buffet. The S-J team spent all day Saturday setting up Hangar 1 with tables and chairs. They cooked 250 pounds of sausages, and actually mopped the entire floor of the hangar to get everything spotlessly clean. Cadets from the Civil Air Patrol were very helpful parking cars, and perfect weather meant the ramp was busy with airplanes. The SJ2026 Spring Breakfast is a 40-year tradition that sets the stage and the tone for the big Fly-in. It's convenient, it’s fun, it's affordable, and gets everybody back into Spring. All the proceeds from the breakfast will go toward funding the Sentimental Journey Fly-in, scheduled this year from June 9-14, 2026.

The annual Individual Gold Membership is $65 per person, and includes one full week pass to the Fly-in at no extra charge. This is a 13% discount per individual. Pilot Training Scholarship Program Opened for Applicants
High School Students Must Apply Before May 31st

The Sentimental Journey Association has opened its long-standing aviation scholarship program to new applicants for the 2026 flight training season. The scholarship, in the amount of $1,000, is open to any high school student residing in Pennsylvania aged 15 or older who is interested in a career in some aspect of aviation.

Qualified applicants should email Ms. Esther Gardner, the Executive Coordinator of Sentimental Journey, at sjfly-in@hotmail. com. The Scholarship Application Form is available on this website. More details about the history and the agreement with the winning applicant are available here. There is no fee to apply for the scholarship. Applications must be submitted before May 31, 2026 and the award will be announced at the S-J Awards Banquet Friday night at the Fly-in.
